Very Nearly Done..
Howdie..
We're back from our trip, and it feels nice to be home again and all cleaned up. Camping makes me feel so dirty. But anyway.. I come bearing good news. I have nearly completed my sweater. I've jumped over tough hurdles such as blocking, and figuring out the mattress stitch, and even the confusing under arm attaching.
My extended family was thrilled to see the effort and quality of my knitted pieces coming together. I brought the sweater along for something to do with my hands while the family was telling the stories they always tell (That are still funny, by the way.) They were all asking what I was doing and a few were genuinly impressed with my knitting tallents. I found out that one of my cousins has also picked up knitting, so I gave my aunt my email address and told her to give it to my cousin. Hopefully she'll remember to do that. I even got applause when I had the sleeves attached and people eagerly watched me try it on. Everyone wanted to see what it would be like and how it would fit, even Brad.
So then I started working on the collar.... what a trial THAT has been! I frogged it atleast 2 times while at the camp, and when I got home and thought I was all finished, I looked at peoples pictures of finished ribbys and found out that I had done it wrong.. so I had to frog again. I haven't gone back to it quite yet, as I had some school work to attend to, but I'll probably start again either tonight, or tomarrow.
This is a picture of the body pieces sewn together. I got this done Friday night.

And this is what it looks like currently.. with the sleeves attached. I really like it so far... Collar ahoy!
