Zip Zippieness.. It's Zipperiffic!
Howdie..
Yes.. it's finnally complete.. I bit the bullet and installed my zipper. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.. I just had to take my time. I did end up using the sewing machine and I'm really glad I did.. When I was basting the zipper I realized just how crappy I am at sewing.. so the sewing machine did way better than I ever could have.. I learned some new things too.. like that our sewing machine has a zipper foot.. (I even learned how to change the feet on the sewing machine!) so I think it was all for the best..

The stitching isn't the best, but I think it's pretty darn good.
So I've been thinking.. I'd really like to start something new.. but I don't think we'll have the money any time soon.. So I think I'm going to actually redo the sleeves on this thing.. I'm just not happy with them.. and I think I'll be redoing them in the round until the decreases.. so that I don't have to seam the sleeves. I don't like the feel of the seam down my arm.. it's too bulky and just not very nice. So that's probably what I'll so... I also think I'm going to try knitting socks very soon.. I have a bit of yarn left over that I could make some socks with.
If I had my way.. I'd make myself a tanktop.. I've been eyeing the
Knitty Xback and I asked Yarnmarket.com for a sample of some different colors of ribbon yarn that they sell so I can see what they're like. The yarn isn't horribly expensive so I might get to make it sooner than later. Here's hoping anyway.
