Delayed For My Honeymoon..
Howdie..
*Sigh* So I'm stalled out.. I've hit a road-block on the road of knitting happiness and success. So you want it without a metaphor? To put it simply.. I don't know what to do next.
What I do have so far looks pretty darn nice (If I do say so myself, and obviously.. I do.)

But I'm seriously stuck on a part the designer of the pattern says she messed up on.. The beginning of the V shaping.
I currently have 170 stitches.. And that is the number I am supposed to have... But then when you get to reading where it says to place markers for the Vs thoes stitches end up equalling 171. One extra stitch that I don't have..
So.. The nice little helpful
Honeymoon FAQ says:
7. I'm making size 34, 38, or 42 and when I get to the arm and V-shaping I have 2 extra stitches - what gives?
That would be my math. Just divide your sts so that the extras are on the back - one on each side- and then do an extra decrease on each side of the V. It's a pretty easy fix.I have no idea.. at all.. what this means.. How are there 2 extra stitches when I actually don't have enough stitches to begin with? Maybe I'm just reading it wrong or something.. I'm not sure.. But I can't do ANYTHING else till I figure this out! (Or someone super nice.. helps me out ; ) )
Otherwise.. I think it's going pretty darn well.. I tried it on last night with the "holding stitches on ugly yarn" trick.. I think it fits pretty well so far.. Hopefully it doesn't end up too long for me.
So that is all... More later.. when the problem is solved.
Waist Not.. Want Not.
Howdie..
So my waist shaping is done... I feel acomplished.. but I do dread learning the 2 new stitches I have to learn to do the bust shaping... But learning new things is good.. right?

Just wanted to document the milestone... ain't that what blogs are for? : )
Which One of These Things..
Howdie..
Ok so I'm having trouble deciding... so.. I thought I might throw this out there and see what sticks.
Which one do you like better?

#1: Mostly blue on top.

#2: Blue stripeyness

#3: Blue on the bottom.
So what do you think? Hopefully atleast one of these'll work out with how much I have of each color.. (4 Sky blue, and 3 River Blue) I kinda like #2, but Brad and mom say that it might make me look fat. (Which is tough to do to a 4'6" 70lb woman, let me tell ya!)
Look What I Got Today : )
It's heeeerre..

I really love the darker blue color (River).. To my suprise it's the same color as my walls! Proof?:

(It's a little blurry because I had to take it without the flash.)Needless to say.. I am quite pleased.. My only regret is that I ordered more of the lighter color.. (I wish I had gone the other way with it.. Oh well!)
So I've been trying to decide what kind of stripes I'm going to make on my
honeymoon/
citrus moon cami. (Still depends on the swatch!)
So I've been playing coloring book with the schematic.. This seems to be the best one I have so far:

Brad said that it would look better with the bottom done in River too.. but.. I don't think there is enough yarn for that... Hm.
To be totally honest though.. If I had known how pretty the River color was.. I would make the entire top in it.. but I guess I can't really go back now.. I don't know about the Knitpicks exchange policy... Hm.
Thinking it over.
Work Complete!
Howdie..
It is true.. I am finally, totally, and completely.. done with my sweater. It happened at 2:25AM this morning (Isn't that when most major knitting things happen? Heh.) The sleeves are attached, the collar is knitted, the ends are woven in.. and the zipper is finished off, trimmed, and sewn. And I am quite pleased : )

The sleeves are what I'd call perfect now.. Just long enough to where I like them.. (Which I've noticed is longer than most people like them.. they ended up being 18.5" long from the under-arm and I noticed on the pattern that sleeve length is 2 sizes up from where my sweater is.. lol. But I like them.. and I'm finally pleased.
The only thing I'm remotely not happy about is the collar.. it doesn't seem to sit right on me, but I'm not going back now.. it's such a small thing that I really don't care about.. When I wear it I won't see it unless I look in the mirror.. so I don't really care! Lol. (I think that was my main issue with the sleeves, aside from the itchy seams, I saw them the whole time I was wearing them so it really bugged me.)
So I even got brave and tried out some sewing.. with needle and thread no less. I didn't know what to do with the extra half inch of zipper that I had.. but I read on the internet that you can just cut them to length.. so I decided to get brave and cut them. I noticed that the zipper band (I think that's what it's called, the cloth part) was starting to fray out.. so I put some Fray Check on the ends.. Hopefully that stuff really works eh?
So then I sewed the last little bits down to the sweater and I decided I'd try making my own zipper stops.. (Because I cut the original ones off, along with the 3 access zipper teeth..) I doubled the thread I used to sew on the zipper, and then sewed around and around between the last 2 zipper teeth.. (In the picture they look kinda white, but I promise it's the same light blue color as the yarn.

The arrows point to the stops. So that's about it.. When I'm feeling more photogenic I'll probably take some pictures of me wearing it.. It does fit fabulously. Woo! I love sweater success! : )
